| | Membership meetings will be held at 6:30p.m. the first Tuesday of each month (except July) at the Lake Villa Village Hall unless otherwise noted. Business Meeting begins at 6:30 pm. Programs begin at 7:00 pm and are open to the public.
Board meetings will be held at 10:00 a.m. on the Monday preceding the first Tuesday of each month.

Feb. 2, 2010 " PRESENT AND HISTORIC ASPECTS OF BEE KEEPING" with Lake County residents Jim and Karen Belli. The Bellis are members and presenters of the Illinois State Beekeepers Association organized in 1891. Their mission is to promote interest in honey bees and bee keeping by utilizing bees for the pollination of agricultural crops. BEE THERE!
Mar. 2, 2010 Rick Bott will present "BARNS IN LAKE COUNTY" at a future date. Presenter for March2nd will be Barbara Richardson Cannon, former Lake County Coroner.

March 27-28, 2010 Springfest at Lakes Community High School. LVHS Booth will be "School Days". Be sure to get your school photo to the Village Hall by March 1st.
April 5, 2010 Diana Dretske from the Discovery Museum will be our presenter. Her topic will be "PRESERVING FAMILY HEIRLOOMS".
May 3, 2010 "EXERCISE AND FITNESS FOR ALL AGES" will be the topic as presented by Kenneth Johnson of 3 Fitness and Wellness in Grayslake.
June 1, 2010 "THE HISTORY OF HASTINGS LAKE YMCA" will be the program with Katie Wall, Operations Director.
JULY, 2010 NO MEETING
April 7, 2009 - Diana Dretske. Collections Coordinator, Lake County Museum will present "Fort Sheridan".
April 14, 2009 - 7:00p.m. SPECIAL EVENT - Max and Donna Daniels will portray Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln in a one hour play "An Evening With Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln at the White House - just before they leave for Ford's Theater on April 14, 1865. Tickets will be sold at the door of Gavin North/Lake Villa Township West for $8.00 per person, $5.00 for children 12 years and under. Refreshments will be served.
May 5, 2009 - Business meeting will be held at Village Hall. The program will be a field trip to Tir Na Nog on Deep Lake Road. Tour is limited to 25 persons. Please sign up at the April meeting.
June 2, 2009 - "Life at Peacock Camp" presented by Dave and Peggy Bogenschutz, former directors of Peacock Camp.
June 11, 2009 - 1:00p.m. SPECIAL EVENT - Lehmann Mansion where Barbara Rinella will present a dramatization of "First Ladies" followed by an Afternoon Tea. Cost is $10.00 per person. Tickets are available at the Lake Villa Village Hall or by mail. Make checks payable to the Lake Villa Historical Societ and mail them to P.O. Box 519, Lake Villa, IL 60046 by June 1st. Seating is limited to 100 people. Barbara Rinella, a former teacher and "academic entertainer" has developed a unique business giving one woman shows dramatizing current literature. Her program which she created on First Ladies is based on a number of books, mainly Margaret Truman's First Ladies, An Intimate Group Portrait of White House Wives and Hidden Power, Presidential Marriages That Shaped Our Recent History by Katie Marton. This fundraiser is brought to you by the Lake Villa District Library and the Lake Villa Historical Society.
